Travelling Logs - Part 2

I remember blogging about my Wanderlust dream come true. Thanks to Le Big Bro, He wanted to go somewhere and asked me to choose between Bali and Phuket.

Yes, I chose Bali!!

One reason is that I have never been to Indonesia and I've heard so much about Bali that I want to experience it for myself.

Day 1

We took Garuna Indonesia Airlines. Which I was very pleased with the service. I asked for a blanket and a pen (to fill in my immigration forms). The in-flight entertainment has done a good job in keeping me occupied.

It was a pretty empty flight.

My meal, beef rendang

The view from Le Big Bro's window seat.

We arrived at the airport and MY OH MY, isn't it the most chaotic scene I've ever seen. The airport was filled with taxi drivers and private car drivers wanting to pick foreigners up at a "head chopping" price. I stayed put while Le Big Bro went to find and drivers and haggled the price with him.

Crowded with foreigners and drivers.

On the way to our hotel, I managed to see some Balinese Culture through their buildings.

Balinese infrastructure

A statue of Krishna.

It was after a good 20 mins of chaotic traffic. We arrived at our Hotel.

Hotel Terrace Kuta.

See those rooms with the sliding door access to the pool, we stayed in one of those.  ;)

We were served this ice lemon tea drink upon arrival.

Our room that had a Balinese art piece.

By the time we settled, it was almost time for dinner. I heard that Bali had this place called Naughty Nuri's which serves great ribs. we got a few maps from the hotel reception and we're on our way for some naughty ribs. ;)

Saw some interesting sights on the way.

Streets of Bali

QuikSilver Quotes "Takes One to Know One."
Agreed.

Finally after about an hour or so, we found it! :)

Oooo...Naughty Customers only...sounds quite...nvm :P

These are the best ribs I have ever tasted. Le Big Bro said that it's better than Tony Roma's!

We order some sautéed vegetables and a duck rice.

The one on the left is ribs sauce, really awesome with anything.
The one on the right is naughtily spicy chilli. It is really spicy.

Made our way back to the hotel and went to Jalan Legian for some Jalan Jalan.

We went to look at the prices of Roxy over there and I saw the logo on the floor which looks pretty cool.

Everywhere in Bali is selling these D looking bottle openers -.-

Ever heard of the Magic Mushrooms in Bali?

We were not that full and headed back to the hotel. Where we made use of our room and the hotel facilities and went for a swim at the pool.

Day 2

Our day started at 9am when we went for breakfast at the hotel lobby. Breakfast was great. Buffet Style with Rice and Noodle and EGGS OF ANY STYLE. They have local food like Chicken Rendang. We ate as much as we could and started planning for the day.

As much as I want to visit WaterBom Bali, it was unfortunately closed for renovations. We thought, ok, maybe we can go to Circus WaterPark instead. WRONG. Big Mistake.

The entrance of the waterpark

Circus theme is obvious

Doesn't look very exciting.

One of the more exciting rides that we got on.

The view.

I went down to carry the float up. Coz Le Big Bro supports gender equality.

Then his turn to carry the float.

Me gloating while he carries the float.

A video of us on the ride.

We couldn't play this because I'm wearing a bikini and Le Big Bro is shirtless with board shorts.

A bucket full of water.

Waiting for our turn.

On another ride :)

The waddling pool.

Same ride but round 2.

Had some fun and time sun tanning. We went back to the hotel for some pool fun and stopped by the beach to take a look.

The sunset on the beach.

With a tsunami Evacuation Route.

We went for some shopping. At Krishna!

We each got a sticker before entering.

For an early dinner!

My McD set.

With our loot from Krishna, we can't really go anywhere else.

Headed back for a quick swim before the Van arrives and pick us for our Spa Session.

My loot of the Day!

The van was early and we headed to our Spa place. Bali Green Spa. Le Big Bro googled that place coz he knew I wanted to have a Spa session. Mine was "Spiritual Bliss" and it cost only SGD$46.

We each had our own outdoor hut.

The session ended with a flower bath.

and a cup of ginger tea.

It was Le Big Bro's first time doing Spa. I was enjoying my session so much that I almost fell asleep. While he was just trying to control his laughter through the whole session.

We decided that the night was still young, we bought some instant noodles and went back to the hotel to eat before heading out to the bar beside our hotel.

The minute we ordered out drinks, Le Big Bro said to take a pic. I was surprised. It was rare that he wants to take pics and a selfie at that?! WOW.

Our drinks. Mine is the lychee margarita while his was some local liqueur with coke.

I think mine taste better.

At every bar there is live music. But this was special, I decided to YOLO and asked if I can be the one singing. The guitarist said "Sure" and handed me this song book. I chose my songs and I sang while Le Big Bro took a pic of me.

I really enjoyed myself.

There, we end the night and went back to crash.

Day 3

I researched and found out that Bakso was the famous local food. So I asked the hotel Staff where can I get it. They suggested the market across the road from our Hotel. To much disappointment, there was not Bakso there.

We had some local food instead.

Took a pic of his "POK ZUI" Sprite in a glass. Ignore Le Big Bro's unglam moment. HAHAHA.

My watermelon Juice. Because the weather is too damn hot.

Our food!!
Beef Rendang (Bottom)
Broccoli with pork (Middle)
Club Sandwich (Top)

After lunch, we stopped by Kuta Square to take a look, nothing fancy though...

It was too hot.

We decided to seek shelter at Discovery Shopping Mall.

The mall!!

Had some cold stone to cool off.

Outside the mall, it was the beach.

HOT!

As we walked along the beach, we saw some kids wearing uniforms.

And this lady carrying food on her head.

Le Big Bro wanted to tan but I was pretty sure I will be burnt. I decided to braid my hair instead.

While I was doing my hair other ladies selling different services came to me and I decided to do pedicure as well.

After doing my hair I had to take a pic of it. I look cool ;)

My nails.

We went out for dinner at a roadside cafe on Jalan Legian. Finally, I had the Bakso I was yearning for. I had Bakso Sapi and Nasi Goreng.

We wanted to go to Sky Garden, unfortunately we were to poor to club. Instead, we went to surfer's bar beside it. Compare to the bar beside our hotel, the prices were a huge difference. Being Surfer's bar more expensive.

I didn't really enjoy the environment of Surfer's bar because it was too much of a club than a bar. So we headed back to the bar beside our hotel for pool.

Le Big Bro played with the bartender and lost twice. Every time you lose, you gotta do 20 push-ups. I'm sure the punishment is nothing to Le Big Bro.

When I played with Le Big Bro, we changed the stakes. Every time you lose, 5 handstand push-ups. I lost twice.

With that, we summed up our last night in Bali.

Day 4

By 1800 we have gotta be at the airport for our flight back.

After breakfast and last shower before we checked out, we decided to head to a mall so we wouldn't perspire so much.

Beach Walk.

South Gate

The view is very spectacular.

We decided to watch a movie, to kill time.

We walked around the mall and I saw this.

"I do love you."

They have a havainas vending machine.

We were getting a little hungry when we saw a cart selling bakso ayam. Chicken meatballs.

Mine was original with all the chilli and sauces.

It was AMAZING!

Le Big Bro had his void of some sauce and chilli. Mine is definitely nicer.

A last glimpse of the beach before we leave.

Soon, it was time for us to return to the hotel and wait for our transport.

We just chilled at the hotel lounge, as there is a desktop available for us to use.

Snap shot of Le Big Bro in the cab.

This trip definitely satisfy my wanderlust for now. It was so much fun on this trip. Can't wait for my next trip out of the country!

That's all for now ;)

Travelling logs - part 1

It's been quite a while since I last blogged. It's because I've been pretty busy with travelling and all :)

Here I am to tell you about my adventures :)

So first I went to KL with Twinnie and Lorenzo.

Day 1

Me on the bus to KL.

On Kate's recommendation, I took StarMart Bus to KL. I decided on Kate's recommendation as she told me that the bus is equipped with massage chair seats. True enough, I enjoyed myself with the massage on the way there. The seatings are spacious as well. The only bad thing probably is that the bus is never punctual.

We arrived at Golden Mile Tower at 6.15am, 30 mins before departure (6.45am). Check in and got our tickets. When it was 6.45am, the bus hasn't arrived. We kinda panicked as we thought we missed our bus. But it turns out that the bus was late. The bus arrived at 6.55am and left at 7am.

After we arrived, we checked in to our hotel for our one night there. It is really convenient, located right beside Berjaya Times Square.

After settling down in our room for abt half an hour, we decided to head to the theme park! :)

COSMO!

The sole reason for our trip.

The entrance of the park

My wristband

The ticket isn't very expensive for such a park with thrilling rides.

It is about $54Rm per person inclusive of the e-card they provide which you can use for locker or snacks. It is refundable after your day at the park if there is any balance.

Us on the Escalator to Cosmo Theme Park.

We had all the rides in less than 2 hours. Simply because it is a weekday and people are in school or work :) MUAHAHAHA.

After we're done with the theme park, we had some wings at Nando's and retreat back into our rooms.

Before long, it was dinner time. We took the RapidKL to Bukit Bintang Station, one stop away from where we were.

Our token for the ride, somewhat similar to the green cards we used to have at the MRT stations.

We heard that Jalan Alor was comparable to Singapore's Chomp Chomp. We decided to go there and hunt for dinner.

Jalan Alor.

One side of the streets is hawker food and the other side is red light district. Friends who are looking for some one night fun, you know where to go now. ;)

The dinner experience I had was terrible. But no biggie, live and let live. Forgive but never forget.

Had our fill and we went back to sleep.

Day 2

We made full use of the hotel we paid for and stayed at the hotel till it was time for check out. I wanted to go to the ever "Famous" Jalan Petaling. AKA Chinatown.

We again, took the RapidKL to the station nearby. We didn't have breakfast hence, we decided to have nasi padang at a roadside shop.

This was my rice and it cost less than $3SGD.

Basically how the Nasi Padang works is that, the Macik, gives you a plate of rice, and you can just put whatever you want, however big the portion on your plate and then she will charge you.

However, such food isn't suited for the city stomached. You might get a tummy upset due to the lack of hygiene practised.

Fill our bellies and time to move on.

We have arrived at Jalan Petaling.

I really like the sign board

Honestly, by the looks of it's goods, it doesn't seem very Chinatown-ish but more like Singapore's Bugis street. Didn't buy anything there till I went to the street behind it and got some goods at wholesale price.

Shopping wasn't very satisfying at Jalan Petaling. We went to KL's famous Pavillion Mall!!!

It is like's Singapore's Ion.

Before we know it, time for us to board the bus and head back to Singapore. It was an awesome 2D1N at KL. I witnessed the Police catching some bad guys while chilling at a cafe. It was pretty exciting. It was a quick getaway before my other serious relaxing trip.

I'll blog about my other trip, the one with Le Big Bro.

Stay tuned for Travelling Logs - Part 2

Wanderlust come true

Hey my avid readers of my blog, I apologize for not blogging for a while there.

Remember my wanderlust post sometime in January? I wanted to travel so bad...especially to Bali. Now, my dream is made to come true! Le big bro was asking if I wanna go to Phuket or Bali. I don't mind either of the two. The last time I went to Phuket was in 2007, really long time ago. I have never been to Bali.

I feel fortunate. If it's a travel buddy I need, I can always count on Le big bro. TRAVEL BUDDY FOR LIFE! :D

I'm gonna be leaving on the 24th for the trip and returning only on the 27th. I have no idea how am I gonna survive without seeing E for so long. What a pity he can't join us, but oh well, he doesn't really like travelling as much as I do.

I have plans to go to WATERBOM BALI!!! One of the biggest waterparks in SEA. I think?

This is one of the rides. CRAZY RIGHT?!

Me wanting to go is one thing, idk if Le Big Bro wants to go or not :/ Shall psycho him to go there!

Besides the activities, we can still shop and I can get my hair braided, get a tan.

Most importantly,

SPA!!!!!

Spa for a princess like me.

It's been at least 3 months since I last got myself a well deserving massage. I am gonna go for SPA definitely.

Can't wait! Shall tell you guys about my adventure when I'm back :)
