Birthday Trip (Hong Kong) Day 1

As you all may have heard of the protest in HK. But that didn't stop us from going there! Went with 宝贝, Twinnie and Laurenzo. Went there by separate flights with Twinnie and Laurenzo. Coz me and 宝贝 took cathay flights!!!

Us at the airport!!! (Pardon 宝贝's dopey face. He hasn't had coffee.)

A more hyped one!

Journey there was 4 hours. I slept mostly on the plane. HAHA. Due to being excited the previous night, I couldn't really sleep. When I boarded, I was super sleepy.

Reached HK and we took the Airport express to Hong Kong Station. It was so convenient. Although, it's a little pricey ($100HKD). But hey! The ride is in style! Comfy seats and plenty of space for your baggage.

Selfie before 宝贝 took a nap all the way from the airport to Hong Kong Station.

We finally arrived at the Station and it was just walking distance to Central Mtr, where our hotel is conveniently located. Just as we were exiting the MTR, we saw Twinnie and Laurenzo! Turns out they were abt to head back before coming out to pick us after a Macs session. Headed back and check in. Due to our disappointment, the hotel room was freaking small. It was still alright though. We pretty much will be out the whole day and only be back to crash.

I had done my homework as to where to go and how to plan our trip in HK.

First Stop. Tim Ho Wan.

A pano shot of the signboard. It's the one near Prince Edward MTR.

Let the feast begin!

Baked Char Siew Bun! This is the best of all. The outer part of the pastry is so crisp and light. The char siew inside is very delicious as well.

The inside of the bun.

Chee Cheong Fun with Char siew.

Chicken Feet,

Har Gao. The prawns were so fresh and juicy.

Inside of the Har Gao,

Pork Ribs with Black Beans.

Siew Mai. Unfortunately, I am not a siew mai person. This was just alright for me.

Carrot cake! You can see how delicious it is, considering the fact that I was so busy eating I forgot to take a pic.

Beef Curry buns. OMG. If you ever go to this place, you can order everything we ordered but this. Honestly, it's not to our Singaporean palate. In Singapore, we have indian and malay curry. This curry is just weird tasting.

For dessert!

Bird nest with egg white boiled with milk.

A group pic!

After having our fill, how can we just go back and rest and risk putting on weight?

Next Stop. Ladies Market.

Unfortunately, there was a protest in MongKok and we couldn't find the market. We left for the next night market.

Final Stop. Temple Street.

Taking some pics in front of the night market.

Bought a cap for Le Big Bro and huge bag to contain all my barang at the end of the trip.

That's all for now, Look out for more updates!
