I'm pretty sure being gentlemanly has got nothing to do with your looks.
1) Gentlemen gives females the own space they need.
In a context whereby a guy likes a girl, don't cling on and never let go. Like seriously?!
*NO, NO, NO!!!!*
If the lady wants to walk, let her walk. If the lady wants some alone time, LEAVE HER ALONE.
That would be much appreciated.
Everybody has their own life. You are just part of her life. You shouldn't be her life. That will not be healthy for a person's personal growth.
2) Gentlemen never make their ladies stand.
Recently, on the mrt. I was seated with 2 guy friends. I was of course seated at the end of the row. When a old man came in, I stood up and gave my seat. What shocked me was that my guy friend, the one that wasn't asleep, he left me standing and talking to him while he was seated comfortably.
That was when I decided, Chivalry is dead in Singapore. Based on the behaviour of guys BORN AND BRED IN SINGAPORE.
*THIS SHOULD BE THE WAY!*
3) Gentlemen never keep their ladies waiting.
Punctuality is important but then again, Man should never let Ladies wait for them. Besides, what reasons do Guys have for being late? Ladies need time to doll up and look their best. While Guys just need to smell nice and comb their hair and they are ready to leave.
Something like this.
Guy's fashion is pretty simple. They don't have the additional choice of skirts and dresses. How hard is it if your closet is just shirts and trousers?
I pretty much think that's what Gentlemen in Singapore is lacking.
